Start with the report attribute
The processing report often names the SKU and attribute that failed. Map that pair back to the workbook before changing anything.
- Confirm the report and workbook came from the same submission.
- Locate the exact source cell.
- Check the current template's allowed values.
- Separate formatting differences from product-data decisions.
Only normalize deterministic differences
Trimming extra spaces is safe. Replacing a color, material, brand, or compliance value is not safe unless the seller explicitly supplies it.
